Staff Spotlight
Jenny Stewart
When asked what she enjoyed doing as a kid, she replied, “everything in the world!” She loved building forts in the woods with friends, riding bikes to far-off (and probably not-so-safe) places with zero parental supervision—classic 70s and 80s childhood adventures. She played softball and tennis, caught lightning bugs in the summer, and even admits to sneaking out and playing hooky with friends (even when they got caught). But what she loved most was simply being at home with her four older siblings—watching TV, holding “bedroom sales,” laughing, and just enjoying being together.
Jenny’s top three favorite movies say a lot about her love of nostalgia, action, and storytelling. First up is The Bad News Bears (1976)—she still gets nervous during the final inning and cries every time the short kid makes it to first base. Next is Kill Bill, Vol. 1, followed by Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), a modern classic she truly enjoys.
As for the funniest people she’s ever met? That honor goes to her parents, Bill and Marilyn Stewart. Her dad still makes her laugh until she wheezes, especially when he does impressions of her mom. And Marilyn? Jenny swears she should’ve been a comedic actress—she’s that funny. Oh, and she looks like Cher!
