CEO DAVID DUBINSKY
Greetings to all - I hope you are staying healthy and safe! Here is your latest Pomeroy update:
I'm pleased to report that the Pomeroy Center operated a modified summer camp for several joyful weeks this summer. On August 17, we opened our children's afterschool program, only to have to close one of our "pods" for at least part of this coming week and possibly longer. We appreciate everyone's patience as we face this new normal.
There is continuing interest in reopening our adult programs, something we can only do when the health data signals it is safe to do so. It is possible that San Francisco county will be taken off of the state's watch list next week, and if so, that will be the signal for us to prepare the adult program to gradually reopen, though we will do so very deliberately and carefully. There is still no date set for bringing adult participants back on campus.
As for all you swimmers out there, we are eagerly awaiting word that indoor pools can reopen. When we do, it will likely be by appointment only, so capacity will be limited. Make sure you are on our mailing list for any notifications. If you're not sure, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our steps to reopen will continue to follow the strictest guidance from the SF Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and protecting the health of our participants, staff, and pool users will remain our highest priorities.
