Swim Lessons

Re-enrollment for current students begins on Monday, May 13th!

OPEN ENROLLMENT FOR SESSION 4, 2024 BEGINS ON MAY 25TH IN THE AFTERNOON: Enrollment forms for session 3 will be uploaded to this page at that time. This will be the first opportunity for students not enrolled to get the forms and to submit them. All forms received will be processed in random order starting on Tuesday, May 28th.

To enroll, please download the proper form from this webpage and email the completed form to SwimEnrollment@prrcsf.org. Please send any other inquiries to aquatics@prrcsf.org.

​*Please be aware that demand for our programs is much higher than we can handle, and current students have registration priority. Due to these factors, getting into our swim classes can be difficult.*

Programs

Cuttlefish (6mo - 5yr)

Cuttlefish have fun in the water with their parents while learning water acclimation skills. Classes include song time, skills practice time, and playtime.

We require that one adult assist each child during the swim lesson.

Penguin (3yr - 6yr)

Penguins learn real swim skills in a low-pressure, fun environment. Each swimmer must be comfortable in the water, be able to put their face in the water on command and be able to follow directions well in a class setting. We require that one adult assist each child during the swim lesson.

Sea Otter (5yr - 12yr)

Sea Otters learn to swim in a group setting. The class is limited to 6-8 children and is taught without parents in the water.

There are three levels based on experience:

    • Beginner course

    • Skills: floating, kicks, and arm strokes

    • For children who can swim front crawl for 10 feet unassisted

    • Skills: front crawl with breathing, backstroke, introduction to treading water

    • For children water-safe in the deep end who can swim front crawl and backstroke

    • Skills: stroke refinement for front and back crawl, treading water, introduction of breast stroke

Recreational Swim

An adult must accompany children. Each Recreation Swim Time is one hour long. By having fun, and free playtime in our warm water pool, children become comfortable in the water.
