The vision...A stronger community providing opportunity and respect, embracing diversity, and inspiring people with disabilities to live a full life.
The mission of the Pomeroy Recreation & Rehabilitation Center is to provide recreation, vocational and educational opportunities for people with disabilities through programs and services that encourage self-expression, promote personal achievement, and lead to greater independence.
Today, the Center provides programs for children, teens, adults and seniors each week with support from dedicated and skilled staff. Volunteers and interns offer additional support throughout the year. Center facilities include a therapeutic swimming pool, gymnasium, adaptive computer lab, playground, theater with stage, and a community garden with greenhouse. The Center also provides employment training and job placement for individuals with disabilities and works in cooperation with St. Mary's hospital of San Francisco to serve people who have experience traumatic brain injury. The Center also serves as the San Francisco Traumatic Brain Injury Network.

Thank you for supporting the
29th Annual Banner of Love Gala
As the Pomeroy Recreation & Rehabilitation Center continues to celebrate 60 years of service to the community, we look back on our Banner of Love event honoring the San Francisco Fire Department as one of the highlights of the year. With 220 guests in attendance the 29th Annual Banner of Love Gala raised $110,000 to help continue the vision of the Center, enriching the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities.
On behalf of everyone here at the Pomeroy Recreation & Rehabilitation Center - participants, Board of Directors, staff - and the members of the Banner of Love Auxiliary, we thank you!
